Tried some new things in color, don't like how it turned out 100%, oh well.

That is, amazing. Especially the calm, fall feel too it. Reminds me of now much time I spend in the forest... well done.

beautiful! I love the colours and the sense of calm serenity that seems to flow throughout the image. It feels like a forest you'd want to go walking in on a beautiful autumn day. :)

Thanks. I'm a little disappointed that I've blown out the saturation in the shadows now that I look back on it but I still like the atmosphere it has.

Every picture we paint usually leaves us a lesson :). You could do it again and put them beside each other to show your progress since. I'm thinking of doing that with some of my old ones. Regardless it's still a lovely piece!

Thanks. I have done a few pieces again but mostly I work on new ones. I might try this one again but I would definitely give it more time first.

I think it's pretty great! You did some great atmospheric effects and the whole colour harmony works together nicely!

I worked with a pretty restricted color and value palette to try and push saturation more than usual. I really had to crank it up in post as I kept under using it even when I tried to focus on it :D

Large, open deciduous forests are nice. Always a pleasure to walk in.

Yeah, I kind want to do a series on the 4 seasons so I guess AJ will have to be in the summer. I'll think of something.

And of course Rarity in the winter, & Flutters again for spring...'course we're talking nature pics so it's up to you where the other 3 should go with their colors (dusk/dawn?)

There a great warmth in this drawing.
Even though you're not satisfied with it i can tell you that it's lots of fans around to enjoy the drawing :).

Oh don't mind me, I'm not satisfied with any of my drawings. I think if I truly was I'd lose some of the drive that keeps me drawing.

Hey I know that song, too bad it's not Derpy. Her color scheme is a bit too neutral for this though.

You could have, but it's not that necessary for this particular painting. :D But yes, if you make another painting similar to this one, then try it out!

Pushing saturation was the goal for this one. I think it ended up being not vibrant enough and candy-colored at the same time somehow. Oh well.

Yeah, failure is inherent in art as lacking failure you are perfect and that is impossible. Good to remember that.
